What is medical gauze made of?

Thanks to my wife l got this answer correctly.

My favorite dresses and tops are made of cotton gauze fabric. It's very light, very airy and very pretty.

So the place where Gauze were invented is today pleading for basic medical supplies while it is besieged, shelled and living the most cruel genocide in history for over 400 days... cruel irony of what we became as humanity.. shame
