The ones l grew from seed and planted out in the borders almost five years ago in the UK are still growing strong, so not always annuals. it would have been nice to see their proper name i.e the Latin name, not just the common pet name

PhoenixGriffin911, Gladiolus are hands down my favorite flower! I grow roses too but Gladiolus in a vase last for a very long time . You just keep clipping the dead flowers off. And they’re Perennial bulbs! I love my roses especially New Dawn & Mr Lincoln but roses need a lot more care.

My mom and her sister loved gladiolas. I remember them digging them up every fall and replanting them every spring.
