Very glad that you played up his linguistics work. There was no united Germany in the Grimm brothers lifetime. The dictionary and collected folk tales were important steps in the unification process.

I love Grimm, the TV series on pick tv at the moment, it's great! even if it can be a bit gruesome at times, probably why they put it out at 10pm, so all the kiddies are/should be in bed!?

Do you think maybe the edition was published from 1812 - 1815 instead of the stated 1812 - 1915? I think that's a typo.

The Brothers Grimm are aptly named. Those are mostly very dark fairy tales where awful things happen.
