he was a Nobel man. even though other people didn't treat him kindly because he was a different race different color. we should treat everyone the way we want to be treated. not be picked on because we were a different race, gender, biracial, and if we collaborate a different religion or in a different culture. dr. king king changed not only our life, but he changed history and I will forever be thankful for what he did and sacrificed for our nation. he lost his life not being able to achieve all of his dreams. but in everyone's heart he did.

I lived in a home where the "N" word was an every day word. I didn't know any thing else. But when I was about 6 I was horrified by the way my mother berated her black janitor. I told him I was so sorry that she treated him that way. But my racial views were still shadowed by my environment. It was not until I entered the work force and saw firsthand the cruelties that my views totally changed. My mother was keeping my children while I worked. When I forebade her to say the "N" word in front of my children I thought she was going to have a stroke! How can anyone continue to be a racist in the world we live in today?

Martin Luther King Jr NEVER led a violent protest... EVER! The violence came from the narrow minds of the Southern city officials who wanted to keep blacks "in their place."

Whenever you see a person driven by hate, you're looking at a person who is weak and frightened inside, terrified that someone else is going to take away what they think is theirs or get more of it than they get.

Player #8311650, He was a Great Leader, as a man, he was flawed, just like the rest of us. He was an adulterer, factor that in when you say he was a good man or a man of god. Hope can be the deadliest 4 letter word there is.

Canis Lupus, We have been in the minority throughout half of our childhood. It is not a fun place to be, the only way I chose to look at it was, at least I can see this issue from both sides; the Minority & the Majority.

QuickSpecialist2136, And all these years that have passed, his dream still has completely come to fruition. That too is as sad as his assassination.

QuickSpecialist2136, Everyone has feelings so Everyone should treat people fairly and be cruel. Like you said treat them the way you want to be treated. More kindness less hate. With God as our guide we can have more love , blessings, hope, forgiveness, joy , and respect. I want that for everyone. God bless everyone.

Player #48456530, “Murder” - is the unlawful taking of another’s life. “Killing” - is the act of taking another’s life, either lawfully or unlawfully. “Assassination” - is the act of taking another’s life to make a political or religious point. Now, with the above definition’s, I will agree with you about John Lennon being murdered but not MLK. MHO! ONLY!!

Player #1949300, some synonyms of assassinate are; slay, murder, kill, dispatch. ALL of these mean “to deprive of life”. If someone is deprived of living it’s a loss. In my opinion, although these two words are not interchangeable, they basically mean the same thing. Yes, player 1949300, MLK WAS assassinated - he LOST his life that day. Please don’t berate other commenters for what YOU see is incorrect vernacular. MHO. ONLY!!

I believe that black people are that way because of pigment . not race. we are human which means we are the same race. we should not treat them any different than anyone else. Martin Luther King was a good man and preacher I respected. I wish people would stop shootingpeople.
