What is the famous Windows crash screen called?

"Back up your work", too often I ignored and hours of work was lost when the blue screen of death came to me in the 1990s. Although, I did not use Microsoft that much and had the same fear of "core dumped", maybe inside joke?

I was a computer programmer when Windows first came out. I was so used to DOS that I didn't use Windows for a long time. Finally, I had to start using it. Windows cornered the market.

What an odd timing! It's July 2024 and just recently, MS Windows suffered a global crash due to Crowdstrike, causing this BSOD to users.
