The amalaki is a fruit native to which continent?

Tree and branch measurements given, but not the size of the fruit. The pictured fruit could be anything from melon, apple down to blueberry size. As berries are mentioned I guess we presume they are in the small berry size range?

ATS, I have often eaten these. They are very sour but tasty. They are about the size of a gooseberry.
