Ac, actually it started in Canada. Hubbard belonged to the Vancouver chapter of the New Reformed Order of the Golden Dawn. He embezzled funds from them and skipped town with the Temple Priestess. He used that money to start Scientology. So, yeah... he was a crook.

Thought Aimee Semple McPherson was the one who created scientology, many, many moons ago. L. Ron Hubbard was one of the Watergate guys.

Alot of celebrities are in that religion.

I don't think it is so much different than a lot of the other religions. Get a bunch of people to follow your rules and get their cash. I don't think Science T people have started any wars though.
