Who was Bill Monroe?

Big Mon. what a list of amazing talent that played with Bill. his impact is much farther reaching than just bluegrass.

Years ago, driving cross country, I went on the back roads through Kentucky. I came to a very small lick of a town and when I asked a shopkeeper of I was near Bill's hometown. "yup, and he's buried just a piece down this road" Of course I walked to his grave. it was covered with picks and ones from all around the world.

Only names I recognize are Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs
