In which popular American sport would you be most likely to hear the term 'slider'?

Player #6103765, As I got more and more involved with my home team, the Colorado Rockies, I googled the pitches cause it IS confusing. The slider is the most complex and difficult. If thrown EXACTLY right and gets hit, it will be an infield grounder and he's out at 1st.

Player #6103765, Not necessarily, Baseball is a game played worldwide. Most, if not all, Baseball fans would know the correct answer. I am an American, but not really a big Baseball fan.
