On our UK trip we went to Ireland for a few nights. Spent one on Galway Bay with a couple I knew only from a Genesis message board. It was lovely.

So interesting to think that so many languages were to be found in the British Isles. One of my uncles, Patrick, had a very strong Irish accent which fascinated me as a child back in the 1950s. Children were to be seen and not heard back then so I was not allowed to ask questions or comment on his wonderful voice. I have lived in South Africa for over 50 years now but still miss those familiar accents. 🌍🕊️
