From this limited information it seems like an allergy to clothes, specifically cotton made. ! ! !

As I was a Microbiologist in a clinical lab, I was faced with a lady that had been 'bugging' us to find out what the parasites were in her hands and arms. This was in the late '80s. It's a real thing!

This is not an allergy to cotton or anything else. The first word of the name is Delusional. This means imagined, not physically real. It is a psychiatric diagnosis given to people who imagine, or even hallucinate, white and colored fibers embedded in their skin. The sores are from them trying to dig the "fibers" out. Another manifestation is the sensation of bugs crawling under the skin. That's called formication.
