Juliette
Once upon a time when my daughter was a baby in my arms, my husband and I took her to the Childrens’ zoo in Oakland CA. There was a small elephant in a not very large pen. My husband told me to back up close to the elephant and he would take our picture with it. I had the diaper bag over my shoulder. As I backed up, the elephant wrapped its trunk around the strap of the bag and pulled me toward it. The bag was looped around the arm with which I was holding the baby and I panicked. My husband burst out laughing, then hastened forward to take the baby. The photo never got taken. The poor elephant was longing for company!
