Who directed the trilogy of American crime films "The Godfather"?

saw all three they were great

I started watching thinking I may not like it. Finished with amazement of how good it was.

I read the book prior to watching the movie and I was not disappointed. The 50th Anniversary of the movie is playing on Paramount the death of Michael Corleone.
