Player #25874027, Actually, I have a small gold and enamel pin the my father-in-law took off of a dead German soldier in WWII. It has two small edelweiss on it and I thought sadly was probably given to him by his love before he went into battle, which would give credibility to the comment in the narrative that it would be given to someone as a pledge of dedication to that person…so sad.

I have always thought Edelweiss was the flower known to be special in Germany... Germany was not mentioned. I feel sort of let down somehow.
