Joan Jett is one of my favorite artists! She is known for creating the songs "I love rock and roll" and "I hate myself for lovin you" with her band the black hearts. She is a very recognizable person.

Unfortunately, she and her band did not sing ‘Crimson and Clover’. That goes to another band that did it in 1968. I heard it on the radio stations everywhere and they were playing it and the G.I.’s were playing it in Vietnam. I could hear it on the newscasts they were making in Vietnam and that song was everywhere!
