They have started to follow rivers inland too. I often see them in trees drying their wings after dips in the River Severn here in Worcester UK

TRUE CANADIAN Laurel, So very sad to hear of Cormorant tragedy. Must be some Major pollutants in the area. I love them and most fortunate in observing most days. Recently a fishermen's bait caught the Bird, we gently managed to save and release it . Did snap at me when wrapped up in my jacket when releasing hook
