Player Jellybean, Thank your feminist, activist grandmothers for introducing MS because when we entered the workforce, Miss & Mrs were the basis of discriminatory work practices. It was assumed that single women would leave when they found a husband and married women would leave as soon as they had a child. So why train or promote us? Singles weren't supporting a family and married women had a husband to support them so why pay us as much as a man? 'Mr' doesn't invite these assumptions.
