I'm Scottish and I know what Gowks means but I've never heard of Gowks Day - maybe not in all parts of Scotland?

Iain
Born and bred in Scotland and know that Gowk is Scots for Cuckoo, in fact there is a large glacial boulder in our village known as the Gowk Stane. I must say I have never heard of April Fools Day being called Gowk day.
