What is the primary base ingredient of the Japanese liquor sake/saki?

locally in Jamaica, the culinary arts teaches us to make homemade wines, with many varieties of fruits or vegetables,never rice,but I would like to try rice for a change.

I just guessed rice. And what do ya know? I got it right!!
