TheLadyKane, It's a typo; year of death was 1926. Although successful, Gaudí dressed like a beggar. After he was hit by a tram,
taxi drivers refused to take him to a hospital. He was eventually taken to a hospital for the poor, where he died. His work is unusual and beautiful, worth a look.
