Which is the largest gland in human body?
Correct answer: Liver

Nel
I thought the liver was an organ, not a gland.

Kris
Nel, it's both, organ because it processes things (like breaking down alcohol) and gland because it secretes bile.

Anna J
I did not know the liver was a gland! I'm with Nel.

Fyhch
I’m a doctor. The liver is not a gland.

HawaiianShirtGuy
According to my online research, it is both organ and gland as Kris says.

Fyhch, I agree. The liver is a complex organ that mainly deals with blood. Producing bile is only one of dozens of functions, and even then people live without a gall (bile) bladder.
