Happily I didn't come across any, during my 16 years living there.
I did carry a "snake bite kit" with me for most of the time, but I don't think that a kit containing a tourniquet, a sharp blade and a phial of Condes crystals (potassium permanganate) would be the treatment of choice nowadays.
