Which of these films is a remake of the Hitchcock thriller "Dial M for Murder"?

If double jeopardy is the movie I am thinking of it is based totally on a legal fallacy. The wife is convicted of murdering her husband, at a place and date. Double jeopardy is a US idea, that once convicted or found innocent for a certain crime the person cannot be retried. The point is, crimes have a place and time. Someone can be tried for killing the same person at a different time, place.

Watched Dial M for murder. I'll have to find and watch the remake.
