Like most tragedies, we remember the day and the time. And television has a way of getting us up close and personal to the event. I was at my desk in West Palm Beach FL, and I looked out the windows and saw the greyish smoke coming from the direction of Cape Canaveral (Kennedy) FL. Sad day for Science and the Space Program.

I was in Fla and stopped my car on a parking lot in Inverness so I could watch the shuttle go up. Had my car radio on at the same time, I watched it explode, it was truly horrifying. I will never forget it. 🙏
