It is incorrect to say that the Cuckoo looking like a Sparrowhawk gives it time to lay the eggs in the host nest. Where I used to live was next to an area of Scots Pine and we would regularly see the female come flying out of the trees with a host of smaller birds in pursuit. They treated the real Sparrowhawks exactly the same.
