I have sleep apnoea , and when I was tested I had up to 28 episodes per hour .
I now have a CPAP pump ( Continuous Positive Airway Pressure ) with a face mask which I need to wear all night every night . I am surprised you are not on the same therapy unless of course you are in America . My machine and medical supervision is provided free at the point of use by the UK. NHS.

I have sleep apnea, when having tests I was told I stop breathing 10 times per hour for the equivalent of 3 breaths, it’s not nice as I’m constantly tired due to not able to go into a deep sleep 😴

There is also Central sleep apnea when the brain does not tell your body to breathe properly while asleep.

Not all sleep apnea is obstructive. I have a more rare and severe form of apnea called central sleep apnea which I was diagnosed with in my early 20’s after a traumatic brain injury. My brain tells me not to breathe at night while asleep. It has nothing to do with my airway. I have a very specialized machine since C-paps and Bi-pap’s don’t work for me. It’s called a trilogy but it’s basically a mini ventilator. Luckily insurance covers it because they are much more expensive than the other machines. A c-pap is one continuous pressure while a bi-pap is two pressures (one for breathing in and another for breathing out). My machine’s pressure is constantly changing throughout the night depending on how I’m breathing. I still don’t get a very restful sleep and am tired all the time. I’m now in my 40’s but cannot sleep without it. I hate lugging it everywhere when I travel. They always want to check it for a bomb too.

I love my sleep 😴

Okie Razorback, perhaps you need another sleep test. I am having the same problem with my Bi-Pap.

Player #28825483, I also have sleep apnea. I use a BiPap machine. It's similar to a CPap machine. I've been using the
machine for a little over a year. Still tired most of the time.
