Romans 5 8, There is a surgery I've seen done on dogs. Under general anesthesia, the vet carefully removes a small area of skin under the lashes, then sutures the edges of the incision together. This causes the eyelid to "roll" outward, pulling the lashes out of the eye and returning them to normal position.

Barb, I too, am interested in knowing whatSAFE entails. Sad they tease us saying there is a way to prevent/reverse/stop the disease, yet only go on to tell what it Does to eyes.

When the eyelids roll inward (entropion), the lashes rub against the corneas. It occurs frequently in dogs, especially in Pugs, Bulldogs, Chow Chows, Golden and Labrador retrievers, and Bloodhounds and Saint Bernards. If left untreated, the eyes will become infected and blindness will result.
