Just saw a documentary about it. Although it has a unique structure, it never worked right. They have spent hundreds of million dollars over the years trying to get the acoustics right. Still doesn't sound like it was supposed to.

The inspiration to make it like that shape! was of orange slices! oh my! yeah I know! like people can love it! but the reason and meaning behind it is so dumb!! ( but I know that yes I can be throwing a lot of shade at things I like! but hey I do like my navel oranges! and I would like to go to the Sydney opera house! probably would be fun!)
