I had a friend from Minnesota who was monochromatic, also referred to as color blind, who was great at hunting, because the animal's camouflage did not work on him.

Before a lot of people had color TVs, there was a commercial for I think Sprite soda that used some kind of flashing pattern to create an illusion of the color green. I wonder if that would have worked on people with this disorder. They only ran it once AFAIK. My guess is that it probably triggered seizures in some viewers. I've heard of that happening in at least one other broadcast that used flashing at a certain frequency.
