Rosie-knees, Time and Space are related. When you look at the moon, you are seeing what it was 1.3 seconds ago. The sun is 8 minutes away at light speed. This telescope can see in the past because it can detect the light that started to travel a very... very long time ago. The far stars it 'photographs' no longer exist or are totally different now.

My husband is an amateur astronomer. He was very excited about the JWT. When we ran into one of the Nobel winning creators vacationing at Kona he was so happy!

The JW Space Telescope has brought the most direct evidence to date of a neutron star within the remnants of a supernova. This Telescope can look back at the first galaxies ever formed, just 200 to 400 million years after the big bang.

The thing is that now JWT is making new discoveries that are shaking the very essence of the "Big Bang" and it has led some scientists to question about the reliability of the Big Bang Theory and the Standard Model. I think it's time to move forward.
