The term 'Chinaman' is related to which of these sports?

As an Australian who played cricket, a Chinaman is not a bowler, but a ball. That is left arm wrist spinners, who normally bowl leg spin, put in an occasional off spinning ball ( to a right handed batsman). I am sure this clears up any confusion.
