wayneaboy, I've read that it actually lies on both the Eurasian and North American plates. It isn't part of the EU though

Iceland is fabulous! Nature run wild…volcanoes, icebergs, geothermal pools, geysers, the brightest colours and the loveliest people. Expensive but worth it.
