What is the name of the instrument commonly referred to as a marching tuba?

I learn something new every time I play this

Bain of my existence in college years.

I was asked by my band instructor in Jr high to switch from trumpet to tuba, as he had a shortage there. I then switched from the e-flat horn to the double b-flat horn, which has four valves instead of three. I loved it, particularly in concert.
