Yes get the guilt reason, because I was told as a kid, that’s why Goldfish never get bored or upset about their fish bowls, because they have a 3 second memory and everything looks new to them.

Liz, they need a bigger tank than 55 if you have 7 of them. 55 would be fine for 3, maybe 4. They just get so big and need space their organs never stop growing so you’ll stunt they’re growth and it’s very painful for them. Unless they are young and small right now 55 would be fine but you’d need to upgrade eventually. Goldfish are wonderful and so fun I’ve had them for years but they are the dirtiest fish! Lol

goldfish are smart mine recognise me and only come to me when I'm in front of there tank, they are beautiful animals, unfortunately people think that putting them I some water is all they need to do. they are very sensitive to there environment and need good water conditions and enough room
