Terry B what a sad day for the whole world

BonBon
I remember coming home from kindergarten to find my mother weeping. I was terrified as I did not understand her extreme sadness. Being five years old it was difficult to comprehend what was going on; however I was a very sensitive child and I understood that a horrible event had taken place. To this day I have a very clear picture in my mind of where I was standing in our living room trying to absorb this horrifying moment.

I was in my 7th grade art class in San Jose, CA. The teachers and students started sobbing and ran out into the courtyard. Someone brought in a radio and I heard Walter Cronkite announce that the president was dead. School was dismissed for the rest of the day.

It was the defining moment of my generation. I was 4 and, even at that age, I knew something disastrous had taken place. We can all describe that day for us, seared into our memories.

I was in 5th grade when it happened and remember well how the school principal came to our classroom and met our teacher at the door. She suddenly burst into tears and the principal then entered our room and tried as best he could to give us the news that Kennedy was dead.

BonBon, I remember that day as well. I was walking off the playground at school and a friend told me and I didn’t believe her. But when we got to class we found out. It was so very sad.

Add Cuba and the Russians to the list of co-conspirators, but definitely the CIA was involved as we know now.

BonBon, I was 12, and old enough to kind of understand the gravity of what had happened. It didn't really hit me though until I got home an my mother had clearly been crying, but trying to compose herself for me.

CyanJaguar62, I remember it was early evening in the UK and they interrupted programmes to tell about the shooting and again when he was confirmed dead. One odd thing. We only had 2 TV channels. The commercial one , ITV immediately stopped all programmes " because of the seriousness of the situation" and substituted old film of a woman (Eileen Joyce) playing hours of depressing music on a grand piano. However a few hours later they realised that the national channel, BBC, was broadcasting as usual, so they resumed their programmes! I recall my gran was furious that her favourite show had been axed!

BonBon, That is Amazing as that is also my earliest Memory as well, watching my Mum crying as she watched the TV, and not fully understanding the importance of the Event. I was born in 1957.

I heard the news on the car radio. I parked, went into the supermarket and asked people if anyone else had heard it, but no one had, and they all doubted I had heard it either. It was so shocking that at first it was hard for any of us to believe it.

A suspect named Lee Harvey Oswarld is behind this assassination but lack of evidence shows that he is not a suspect behind this assassination. This mystery remains unsolved
