Who's the government whistle-blower who allegedly reverse-engineered alien spacecraft at a site near Area 51?

I have found him to be quite believable. Government denied he ever worked for them, they destroyed his life but yet they found his name in an old directory. Government erased him, his school records, birth certificate and work history. why go to all that trouble if he wasn't telling much truth ?
