Hokkaido is my favorite part of Japan. Before it was island of native Ainu people, now they are one small minority group there.

I think it's really neat they put a railway under the water I wouldn't ride it id be worried the entire time of earthquakes and I can hardly breathe when in a tunnel or on a bridge!

banjo, Think because the word ' Prefecture ' is not familiar in the West. I believe it defines Local States USA/ Counties in England / and other such Regional Governance. ..Please advise and correct me
