I've read a couple of books all about Van Gogh. He lived with a lot of mental pain. Very sad how his art was not appreciated until after his death.

Got a chance to attend the exhibition,'Van Gogh in America' when it appeared @ the DIA' a couple of winters ago. His works were amassed for the event from museums and private collections from borrowed pics from all over the globe. Quite the exhibition as I was just a few feet away from his 'Starry Night', for example. Poor soul, tormented with mental illness his whole life. His bro stated his dying words,'...the sadness goes on forever....'

The Question is badly put as I'm sure I've heard he worked in an Art shop or Gallery and sold many if not hundreds of paintings, but alas not his own!?
