Which part of the world was named after the Florentine traveler Vespucci?

In 1502 explorers knew and observed ”land masses” not continents. It wasn’t until early 1900 that researches contemplated theories about continents.

I didn't know that our continent was named after Amerigo Vespucci , I think it's awesome that we were named after someone who was an important person in history in those days. I was taught that you learn something new every day and this app did that for me today and I thank you very much.
