Who said, "Myths, which are believed in, tend to become true"?

Just because we lack the resources to prove something right now doesn’t mean it’s not true. Decades ago, when my mother scraped off the black from her toast because she thought it caused cancer, I dismissed it as an old wives tale. Now scientists have proven char is carcinogenic.
