Who wrote the classic novel "Persuasion"?

'Persuasion' is my favourite Jane Austen novel. I am familiar with the area in which the story takes place so it seems all the more interesting.

Jane Austen, what wonderful books she wrote! My two favourites are "Pride and Prejudice" and "Sense and Sensibility", both having been filmed wonderfully too, my favourite Mr D'Arcy being Matthew Mcfaddyan. "Emma" also both wonderfully written and filmed, with Gwneth Paltrow as a great Emma.

Persuasion is brilliant and also my favourite. I live not far from Lyme Regis and Bath and always walk the routes that Jane Austen knew and captured so well in her novels

Have read Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility, but not this one.
