I’m from Belgium, but live in Greece, on the Cretan island. I sometime fuse both cultures on our plate, though my husband wasn’t rally fond of the thought at first, he went nuts lol!
The only thing is, Greeks don’t know how to make French fries(actually accidentally invented in Belgium). So when I add these Belgium fries to the dish, he wants to know the secret of why they’re so tasty!
Well, Belgians pre-fry them, so the oil doesn’t stay in the potato, then we fry them again! Making them lighter.
Greeks just fry them and it’s like the potato lived with depression lol!
