Cats often rest in this position but what is it called?

Didn't know that. position, or ANY position for that matter had a name, but looking at the picture, the answer is obvious.

My cat does this to lure unsuspecting kitty lovers close and then goes full attack mode.

never heard there was a name for that position. and I've had cats for decades.

There's been a cat as part of my home for most of my life and have never heard of any name for the positions they are in.

My year-old kitten Ray-Ray is the smartest cat I've ever had. He knew innately how to play fetch with me. The very first time I sent a ponytail scrunchie flying down the hallway, he flew off after it, and almost immediately, I looked down and he was sitting there with the scrunchie in his mouth. He plays fetch like a dog, and I didn't have to teach him anything. (I'm a proud mom.)
