I have always thought it must be horrible to be born "low" and have no hope of alternative lifestyle and to be looked down on because of who you are. That is so different from other countries, and some kids are taught early on that they can grow up to be anything they want.

Yessum, the caste system exist everywhere. In my church, at my work, everywhere. You kids know that exist definitely at school. We all think that we are better or worse than everyone we associate with.

My friend, who is of Indian descent, insists the caste system no longer exists in India due to written laws. I tell her, “Yeah, just like discrimination and racism doesn’t exist in the US due to Civil Rights legislation”!

San, Agreed. What religion would put cows as sacred and humans lower than an ants belly. Its totally ridiculous and demeaning. We need to uplift all people. True LOVE has no caste system
