Well, I'm sure 90% of Muslims haven't heard of him. He's probably only popular among some in India. In Islam, we don't have saints (reverent or otherwise)

As a Muslim ,who grew up in a Muslim multi cultural society and who studied Islam, I would say this is a very misleading question to add to a general knowledge quiz. I have never in my entire life heard of such a thing that Muslims (in general) revere a Hindu saint, there may be a small niche in India, but that has nothing to do with religion but culture/tradition. If this is true, then I suggest changing it to read as SOME Indians.

me, I just read that the man Satya Saibaba (the one with the Afro) was born in 1926, 8 years after Shirdi Sai Baba died. He claimed at age fourteen that he was the reincarnation of Shirdi Sai Baba and is the one criticized for alleged fraud and sexual abuse. The original Shirdi Sai Baba sounds like he was a pretty righteous guy.

Indira, I didnt realize there were more than one Sai Baba. The one I know of had afro hair and died around 5 years ago. Many devotees world wide not only in India.

I'm a Muslim and never ever have I heard of Sai Baba in any Islamic book. I wonder if in India the Muslims have anything to do with this but this is purely shirk in this case.
