We were introduced to Kohlrabi a few years back by former farmer friends (R.I.P. Ramona & Steve) & we have loved it ever since! Unfortunately in this neck of the woods we have not been able to find it commercially or privately since our farmer friends have passed on.

It grows in our garden. Here in northern Bavaria it is traditionally eaten with white roux, boiled potatoes and schnitzel. Even my kids like it.

Snance, I have seen it in grocery stores over the years here in the western part of USA, but never ate it. I think I finally will give it a try! Is your castle open for tours?
