What color is liquorice candy?

Anyone old enough to remember the black licorice cigars with the red sprinkles on one end? Loved them, and yes, I remember pretending to smoke them lol

Never liked the candy, but have found some tea with anise in it to be a great combination.

Can't there be other colors and flavors as well?
