What do children ask for when they go from door to door as a Halloween tradition?

Unfortunately it is another American custom that is spreading into other countries, especially here in Australia.

Player #25874027, "trick or treating" is the American custom which is spreading. Other customs don't have the threatening aspect of the "trick" just a reward for a song or a joke or a good costume.

Jonesy, If it goes back to the sixteenth century in Britain and Ireland it pretty much pre-dates America .
