jsh, The exact reason I opted to not marry a gorgeous Norwegian and move there as she wanted. I was raised at the beach in California, perhaps if I was from Minnesota or another state with very cold weather I could have made the move. My first day visiting Norway in 1994 I stepped off the plane into -28 degree weather!

toothless beachrat, I had to move north after growing up in Florida. You do get used to it, but that first year is a killer.
