The Bristlecone Pine tree is, to best of my knowledge, the longest lived tree. However, baobabs seem to be the oldest among angiosperms.

I will stand to be corrected but I thought the term creature only applied to animals, a tree is a living thing bit it's a plant.

Had not heard of this Tree before, the importance of roots..Yes, sadly deforestation, and Drilling into the Inner Core /Heart of where WE live has created many Global Problems. At school I recall asking : if the Earth is like an Orange and people are Drilling and taking things out .. and getting the metals, When will we crunch !! am now 70 yrs !
