The Bristlecone Pine tree is, to best of my knowledge, the longest lived tree. However, baobabs seem to be the oldest among angiosperms.

Had not heard of this Tree before, the importance of roots..Yes, sadly deforestation, and Drilling into the Inner Core /Heart of where WE live has created many Global Problems. At school I recall asking : if the Earth is like an Orange and people are Drilling and taking things out .. and getting the metals, When will we crunch !! am now 70 yrs !
